Karen Borne, Owner of Borné Saddlery, founded her company in December, 2000 with a desire to bring the finest quality equestrian products possible to her consumers. The company has grown into one of the strongest custom saddle companies on the market today.With Karen's educational background in saddle fitting with Andy Sankey, Master Saddler and the Society of Master Saddlers, UK, she offers a strong foundation of saddle fitting skills to both her clients and the saddle fitters who represent Borné Saddlery across the United States.

Dr. Dan Burke

Dr. Dan Burke

Dr. Burke received his B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Illinois and his M.S. in Equine Reproductive Physiology from Texas A&M University. He returned to the University of Illinois where he earned his Ph.D. in Equine Nutrition/Exercise Physiology.

At Illinois State University, Dr. Burke was an Assistant Professor and taught for 5 years. He developed a nationally recognized Equine Management Program. Dr. Burke founded Equine Educational Services, an equine nutrition and management consulting company that he ran for 9 years. He has also worked as a Scientist-Program Manager in the Animal Health Business Unit at Abbott Laboratories.
